Hitomi Saito was born and raised in Shizuoka Japan. At an early age Hitomi realized her love of art, design, and fashion. She decided to pursue this love by undertake a degree in fashion. Hitomi graduated with a degree in fashion design from Bunka Fukusou Gakuen, an elite fashion school located in Tokyo, Japan. After a number of years living in Japan, Hitomi decided to move to Florida, where she and her husband raised three children. 

One Christmas, Hitomi received an artist painting set from her children and began exploring acrylic paints. As her passion for painting grew, Hitomi's desire to improve her skill set lead to the development of her style and subject matter, ranging from landscapes and portraits to abstract works. Hitomi seeks to continue to challenge herself by practicing and developing various methods of painting predominantly using oil, pastel, and watercolor, in conjunction with different surfaces including wood, lacquer, and paper.
